Diesel generator control systems

What is a mini thermal power plant?

Mini-TPP is an independent power supply system designed to generate combined heat and electricity.

High quality Mini-TPPs, manufactured on the basis of full-fledged volumetric gas-piston electric units, are produced only at an enterprise that has no analogues, and this, of course, is the Altai Machine-Building Plant Gazenergomash.

Already now in the city of Barnaul, the Gazenergomash plant produces more than a dozen models of gas piston, diesel, gasoline and binary power plants and mini-thermal power plants based on them. All products manufactured by the plant are carefully monitored and approved by the Federal Service for Environmental, Technical and Nuclear Supervision of the Russian Federation.

Main advantages

How does a mini-thermal power plant work?

The operation of a mini-thermal power plant is largely determined by the engine system, which, in turn, depends directly on the source of the supplied thermal energy.

The following sources of thermal energy can be distinguished:

  • engine exhaust gases generated by the operation of mini-thermal power plants;
  • resources coming from the engine oil cooling system;
  • resources coming from the water cooling system of the engine.
The heat recovery system of the Mini-TPP includes:
  • shell-and-tube waste heat boiler;
  • bypass channel with gas dampers in the working and bypass lines with manual and electric drive mechanism controlled by the automation system.
  • circulation pump in the main coolant line;
  • bellows expansion joints for connecting gas ducts;
  • a plate heat exchanger for collecting heat from the engine coolant and oil and transferring it to the main coolant;
  • automatic control cabinet for the heat recovery system;
  • temperature and pressure sensors (sets of various composition and cost);
  • a set of valves and pipelines.

Technically, the SAP consists of an engine, a frame, a coolant block, which, upon special request, can be made as an external one (objects of the Ministry of Defense and Civil Defense and Emergencies), control and monitoring bodies, an emergency protection and alarm unit, an electronic regulator, a gearbox or only a clutch with a flange (shaft) power take-off. The design of the SAP is made in such a way that, with proper maintenance, it provides reliable and long-term operation in the temperature range from -10 to +50 ° C; for lower temperatures, an autonomous coolant heater is installed.
